ITINERARY:

• 06:00am: Hotel pick-up: The day starts very early, when our team will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco. We will head to the small town of Checacupe, located south of Cusco. On the way, we will make a brief stop to admire an Inca bridge and a colonial bridge, as well as take the opportunity to buy some necessary items such as drinks, snacks, sun block and rain poncho.

• 06:30am – 07:30am: Drive to Base Camp: After the stop in Checacupe, we continue our journey to base camp. This journey takes approximately one hour. During the trip, you will enjoy the beautiful views of the Andean landscape as we approach the area where we will begin the trek.

• 07:30am – 08:15am: Hike to Palcoyo Pass (4,880 m): Upon arrival at base camp, we will begin a gradual hike of approximately 30 to 45 minutes to Palcoyo Pass. During the ascent, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the three Rainbow Mountains, as well as the peaks of Palccoyo and the majestic snow-capped Ausangate. You will also be able to see the Bosque de Piedras, an impressive geological formation located at the highest point. We will spend approximately 1 hour at the pass, enjoying the scenery and taking pictures.
• 08:15am – 09:00am: Return to Base Camp: After enjoying the scenery and capturing the views, we will begin the descent by the same route to base camp. The return will be faster due to the downhill slope.
• 09:00am – 10:30am: Drive to Cusipata: Once back at base camp, we will take our private transportation to the village of Cusipata, where a delicious hot, freshly prepared lunch awaits us at a local restaurant.
• 10:30am – 12:00pm: Lunch in Cusipata: After the hike, you will enjoy a traditional lunch and rest. This is a good time to relax and share experiences about what you have experienced during the day.
• 12:00pm – 1:30pm: Return to Cusco: After lunch, we will board our private transportation back to Cusco. The trip will take about 1.5 hours, and we are expected to arrive in Cusco around 3:00pm.
• 3:00pm – 3:30pm: Arrival in Cusco: The tour will end at Plaza Regocijo, which is located just two blocks from Cusco’s main square.
